Enam Pegawai Kastam Ditahan, Bersubahat Seludup Dadah

KUALA LUMPUR: Polis menahan enam pegawai Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (JKDM) Selasa dan Ahad lepas, dipercayai membantu kumpulan kongsi gelap menyeludup dadah masuk ke negara ini.
Perkara itu disahkan Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh ketika dihubungi Bernama malam ini.
“Kita telah tahan mereka dan akan jalankan siasatan,” katanya ringkas.
Media melaporkan selain pelbagai jenis dadah, pegawai terbabit juga dipercayai turut melepaskan bahan mentah memproses dadah dan menerima imbuhan daripada kumpulan berkenaan yang aktif dalam penyeludupan serta pengedaran dadah di negara ini sekurang-kurangnya sejak setahun lepas.
Menurut laporan itu, kesemua suspek yang bertugas di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) itu ditahan bagi membantu siasatan mengikut Akta Kesalahan Keselamatan (Langkah-Langkah Khas) 2012 (Sosma).
Sementara itu, Ketua Pengarah Kastam Datuk Seri T. Subromaniam berkata pihaknya tidak akan berkompromi dengan anggota dan pegawai yang menyalahgunakan kuasa dan tidak berintegriti.
"Buat masa ini biar polis jalankan siasatan terlebih dahulu," katanya ketika dihubungi Bernama. -- sumber
