SHAH ALAM – Parti komponen Pakatan Rakyat (PR) DAP, enggan melayan desakan MCA yang disifatkan sebagai hanya membuang masa jika mereka menuruti tuntutan parti komponen Barisan Nasional (BN) itu.
Timbalan Pengerusi DAP, Dr Tan Seng Giaw berkata, Presiden MCA Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek bukanlah orang yang layak untuk bercakap soal hudud.
“Sudah-sudahlah bercakap soal hal ini, MCA sekarang ini cuba jadi batu api untuk mengeruhkan hubungan baik DAP dengan Pas dan orang Melayu yang lain.
“Dia tidak perlu dan tidak layak pun bercakap soal ini (hudud), dia bukannya Tuan Guru Nik Aziz (Musyidul Am Pas) yang mempunyai kepakaran dalam hal ini, jadi buat apa kita mahu melayan cakap dia,” katanya kepada Sinar Harian semalam.
Menurut Seng Giaw, Soi Lek sengaja mencari pasal apabila membuat cabaran itu kepada DAP sedangkan MCA sendiri tidak pasti tentang perkara itu.
Pada Sabtu lalu, MCA mencabar PR untuk meletakkan hudud dalam manifesto pilihan raya umum ke-13 (PRU13) mereka sekiranya benar menyokong perjuangan Pas dalam menegakkan hukum Islam.
Selain itu, Soi Lek turut mencabar DAP untuk menyatakan pendirian mereka, sama ada mereka bersama-sama MCA menentang pelaksanaan hudud versi Pas atau tidak.
Seng Giaw yang juga Ahli Parlimen Kepong mengingatkan Soi Lek untuk berhenti bercakap mengenai hal agama orang lain.
