According to the head of the Buryat State University Observatory, Lilia Mironova, nature will offer an alternative to the New Year’s festive fireworks, - the Ursids meteor shower, which, although not as bright as on some years, will nonetheless prove quite colourful.
Meanwhile, one can see in the clear night sky planets and the tail of the ISON C/2012 S1 comet, which proved unable to survive a close shave with the Sun and thus failed to become the comet of the millennium, according to the Buryatia State TV and Radio Company.
