Akan Ada Lagikah Kehidupan Selepas BN?

Bayangkan betapa indahnya impian itu......
Is there life after BN?
Iskandar Dzulkarnain May 4, 2013
To some politicians out there, money is everything and it has become their God. To them, everything is for sale including their souls.

Many of us long to wake up on May 6 to a new political landscape and to a life without Barisan Nasional. All the heavy shackles would fall off with the sudden realisation that there is indeed a hope for our future.
Personally, I have vowed to buy myself a new set of wheels, get a full tank of gas which I could never afford before, and drive down the highway breezing along with no more toll gates to slow me down.
Arriving in KL, I would not fail to notice the genuine smiles all around, as Malaysians from all walks of life greet and embrace each other in the spirit of unity and brotherhood.
But pessimism gets the better of me, as I recollect the events leading up to D-Day. Placing too much hope would result in shattered dreams and great disappointment.
Experienced political analysts can’t be wrong when they say that BN is set to win again albeit with a lesser mandate. Even independent polls have shown that the odds are heavily against a PKR victory.
Friends of BN
It would be folly to think that BN can last 55 years without having a contingency plan or two to cement their defences. Friends of BN are everywhere. The Electoral Commission, the civil service, military and police, judiciary, cronies, AG and MACC.
EC has always been a good friend. Its neutrality to ensure a free and fair election has allowed BN to win every election since Independence.
The NRD has always been busy issuing blue identity cards to everyone including foreign immigrants who apply for it.
The police and military are seen as loyal stalwarts who wouldn’t dream of abandoning Umno. So far the judiciary has been independent enough to side with the government. For the friends of BN, there is so much to gain and so much to lose if anything untoward happens to BN.
BN feels proud that PKR has been given a good 10 minutes window to broadcast its manifesto, while BN has never stopped broadcasting daily since 2008. It would be a terrible shame if BN still cannot convince Malaysians of their sincerity.
Help! the aliens have landed
The allegation by PKR that 40,000 dubious voters are being flown in from East Malaysia to dilute the votes of bona fide citizens is really not very comforting. Many strategic seats will fall to such treachery.
The 800,000 Suluks of Filipino origin who are naturalised citizens bearing Malaysian IC’s are just the tip of the iceberg to the vast numbers of Indonesians, Thais, Myanmarese, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and others who share Malaysian citizenship. Of course, these citizens have the right to make their choice on who to vote for.
PKR also reports that the ports of entry like Bukit Kayu Hitam, Port Klang, Johor Baru, KLIA and LCCT are busy with high numbers of foreigners entering the country. Detention centres nationwide are housing unusual numbers of foreigners even though the Immigration Department has categorically denied it.
It seems the fate of the country lies in the fight between Malaysians and foreign aliens. What a sad day for this country if we are unable to fend of this alien invasion.
Race and religion
Recently, the revelation that our indelible ink is not so indelible has started tongues wagging.
Bombs, pig and chicken entrails spluttered with blood have become the norm. More citizens are being arrested and detained for election offences.
The ugly side of race and religion is coming to a boil with hate booklets and fiery speeches warning that the Malays would lose power and be replaced by a Chinese government.
It is now a Jihad for Malays to change the Kelantan government and Haram (forbidden) for Muslims to vote PKR. Hudud is a super hot topic that won’t go away. Sodomy is showing its ugly rear again. Hinduism is being ridiculed. Christians want to install a Christian prime minister and the PAS version of Islam is too radical and outdated.
The Chinese are going to take over the country, but MCA and Gerakan are helpless to stop it, if they do not get a mandate from the people.
Malays are going to lose their rights and become slaves in their own land if Umno is vanquished. The Indian plight can only be solved if BN gets to rule forever.
Ibrahim Ali and Zul Noordin are now the new heroes who will pave the way for BN.
There are reports that cronies are forking out untold millions to tempt voter loyalty. Even gambling syndicates are cashing in with stakes reaching up to 1000-1 as in the case of Penang. Even a 10-1 stake would be too irresistible for die hard gamblers out to make a quick buck.
There are unconfirmed reports that shredding machines are on standby in the event of an emergency.
BR1M and Transformation programmes
BN has tried every trick in the book to convince Malaysians of their sincerity with billions spent on the elections and cash handouts. Yet there were some who complained that they never got their RM500 while there were reports that foreign immigrants were cashing in on these handouts. What went wrong?
Najib Tun Razak has promised that the BR1M would be increased to RM1,200 and paid out on a yearly basis if BN wins. How many Malaysians out there can resist such an outrageous offer?
Despite the fact that Malaysia is heavily in debt to the tune of RM500 billion is no cause for concern. Even the RM1 trillion outflows have been largely ignored. As long as there are enough taxes collected every year to feed government coffers, BN vultures would be around to weave their magic and do their disappearing act.
For every person who opts for change, there is another who is oblivious to the political situation around us, and many who will sell their loyalty for the price of a meal that will quench their hunger.
Dr Mahathir Mohamad wasn’t totally correct when he said that: “Malays are forgetful” it should be; “Malaysians are forgetful.”
While PKR rallies are generally boring; without food banquets or entertainment except for the donation bags going around to raise funds, BN rallies are star studded entertainment with the likes of Psy-Gangnam style, Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh. No one goes home hungry with the wide array of food on offer.
With almost unlimited funds to fund BN campaigns, PKR sound like paupers with pockets full of holes who won’t stand a decent chance against the combined might of the ruling coalition.
Yes, money is not everything to most of us and we console ourselves that we can’t be bought. But to some politicians out there, money is everything and it has become their God.
To them, everything is for sale including their souls. They will sell the nation, trade the people’s rights and deny their own God just to satisfy their constant hunger for power, prestige, wealth and position.
So to anyone out there who thinks that their lone vote wouldn’t make a difference, better think again!
GE13 could be the rebirth of a new nation or just another ordinary day with the same old s..t. The choice is yours.
